Description
Elsa Deutschbein is an aspiring singer/songwriter. The sound of her music has been debated being called many things from "folky sounding," to "a little bit like lesbian rock." Though the latter comment is still a bit of a mystery. The best way to describe the music is really, really good. But when in doubt, check the website. |

History
My name is Elsa Deutschbein. I write music. I also happen to sing, play, and record the music I write. Why I do this is something I still ponder. I am pretty sure it has something to do with my musically inclined parents, a childhood obsession with Alanis Morrisette, and an adolescent (and ongoing) obsession with Amanda Palmer. When I was probably 13 or 14 I decided I would begin to attempt to write music. The first song I ever wrote was a disaster in all aspects. It sounded like the worst Celine Dion song you’ve ever heard and was about dead people underwater, their ex-lovers, and some angelic like creatures trying to reunite the two. I hated it the moment I wrote it and abandoned my previous aspirations in shame. However, throughout the years I actually became talented enough to have my own website. |
