History
| Dive began in the summer of 2000 when long time friends and musicians, Shaun Murphy (former guitarist of Because) and Mike Lasaponara (drummer of an instrumental funk/jazz fusion band named Sela) decided to work together. Mike recruited his bass player in Sela, Gibb, to play in Dive. Dive needed one more member to complete the group, and in January of 2002, Mike Ives joined the band. During this time Dive was recording their first album. This entire album was produced by the band, especially mike Lasaponara who almost single handedly recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered this cd. Dive's first release at this time entitled Synesthesia is due to release May 24th 2003. |
