Description
Currently a trio, The Quitters are one of the most beloved bands in the Rochester fringe/underground scene. Beginning in 1994, the group formed around the songwriting duo comprised of two brothers - Dave and Dan Snyder, both trading off lead vocal and guitar duties with each other. The sound is pure power-pop. The only thing preventing it from being a flawless slick project is the incredibly trashy, sloppy mess that is Rob Filardo on the drums. Together it's a wonderful marriage. As far as the current lineup goes, the Quitters have recently lost Dave Snyder temporarily(Dave relocated to NYC for the time being but he'll make the occasional appearance when possible), but they have gained Keith Von Suhr(formerly of The Thundergods and The Grinders) on the left-handed bass. This new trio allows Dan to take over lead vocals and all guitars. With 3 full-length cd's under their belts('1982' being the most current) and a handful of rare-hard-to-find vinyl singles, the band is excited to have worked up a set of BRAND NEW songs in addition to the usual favorites.
