The Buddhahood is back for another extravagant performance at The German House Theater on January 20th 2006 for the Release of their new full length C.D. titled “Muddy Roots”. Doors will open at 9:00PM and they will take the stage, performing the whole CD for the first set. After that, anything goes and all surprises will continue for the second set. The new CD will be sold at the show for an introductory discounted price along with other CDs and merchandise. Tickets can be acquired for $10 at “Aaron’s Alley”, “The Keg”, “House of Guitars”, and “Record Archive” or by contacting the Buddhahood at www.thebuddhahood.com .

This 8 piece world - hybrid wonder wheel explodes at every show as they become one with the waves of sound and their audience. Since their last studio C.D., “Welcome” was released; The Buddhahood has added Horns, Steel Drums, and multiple singers to their ensemble creating a funky, Afro-Caribbean rock sound with eclectic tenacity. The Hoodlums, as they are sometimes called, get along like 7 brothers and a sister would in a small studio, with the sweat of experience and a little grace. “Muddy Roots” is about the human connection and disconnection with nature and contains everything from percussion driven powerhouse songs to walking Reggae Spirituals

The Buddhahood’s joy and energy is contagious as was experienced at their debut performance at The German House, where they blew the roof off and shared the stage with Jorge Alabe (Brazilian Master drummer), Paul Brown (singer and rhythm guitar extraordinaire, formerly with Eddie Grant) and Clyde Morgan (renowned Afro-Brazilian expert, dancer, choreographer and percussionist). The unexpected is always expected from drum and dance to hypnotic solos and improvised lyrics. So rock your body and feed your soul to The Buddhahood’s new sound. This is not a show to miss.
