Description
WINNER- Pop- Male Vocalist of the Year 2006- The LA Music Awards

WINNER- Best New Original Band 2006- Buffalo Music Awards

The Highway Beautiful is the music of singer/ songwriter Jason Jurewicz. Originally an acoustic solo project, Jason's music is now accompanied by live drums and electronic loops and swirls, making The Highway Beautiful's live performance a unique and beautiful experience.

The Highway Beautiful hopes to relate to people on an emotional level, getting in their heads to make them think about the world around them and who they are, raising questions about the things they take for granted and the ideas they have grown to embrace all the while leaving the listener with a sense of hope.

Since it's inception in September 2004, The Highway Beautiful has performed over 250 shows across the country appearing with artists such as Sarah Slean, Charlotte Martin, Kevin Max, Zox, Skillet, Hawk Nelson, John Rueben, Tree 63, The Myriad, and Shiny Toy Guns. The Highway Beautiful also completed a self-produced full-length album entitled "the things that lights can hide" independently released earlier this year.

Influences
From Jason:

Everything you listen to from the time you're a kid, even if it's just in your friend's car one day influences you in some way. I grew up listening to oldies (mostly 60's music) I loved the Beach Boys, my dad made me listen to country which I grew to love. Now my list of bands I wish would ask me to join include, but are not limited to:

The Wallflowers
Third Eye Blind
Our Lady Peace
The Paperboys
Jars of Clay
Dishwalla
Matthew
Travis
