Description
Bucky Gelo wears many hats, sometimes a solo acoustic/vocalist performer, doing music in the style of James Taylor,CSN,Beatles, and more! Bucky is lead guitar player for Life Teen Band at Light of Christ Parish in Rochester, NY, playing rock Masses for Teens.Bucky also is playing bass with the 50's-60's band Aces N Eights. Bucky plays upright and electric bass, mandolin,cello, electric and acoustic guitars |

History
In High School in the 60's, Bucky formed his first band, The Chillers, doing dances, and parties. In the Navy, Bucky played lead guitar in a Navy Rock Band, doing the music of Chicago, BS&T, Tower of Power. After the Navy, Bucky started playing local clubs in the Virginia Beach area. Relocating to Rochester in 1980, Bucky joined the country band Shortbread, playing lead guitar and gigged with them about 8 years, then moved on to many other bands, and in the late 80's, joined the acoustic duo, DeJaVu, and played as a trio for 12 years. Since then, Bucky has played solo, bass with many bands, and is still playing!! |
