Description
Just when you thought there was no more emotion left in a song to be wrung out over the crowd, Maxfield brings the room to a hush with an impassioned soul-sister send up that sends chills though the crowd like a goose-bump epidemic.

Maxfield's precious vocal boom is as big as her va-va-voom. At either end of her vocal spectrum hang notes that seem almost out of reach, and perhaps even a little daunting. When on stage and ascending to one of these lofty notes in the upper register, Maxfield frequently points to the note as if to warn that she's on the way to nail got up to belt it out.

You can vaguely hear the legendary and contemporary influences (Joss Stone, Etta James, Bill Withers and Marc Broussard) throughout her tone and attack, but nobody really sticks out. Kristen has her own voice, her own sound, setting her apart from any artist of today's time.

Roster

Influences
Anytime Kristen needs a little inspiration she'll go listen to Joss Stone or Marc Broussard, who are both phenomenal musicians and singers. Then she'll hit up the oldies; Janis Joplin, Dusty Springfield, Curtis Mayfield, Phoebe Snow, Al Green, Bill Withers, and Etta James, to name a few.

History
Kristen has played and toured the United States, performing in some of the top music cities (New York, NY, Atlanta, GA, Los Angeles, CA, Nashville, TN, and Rochester, NY).

In Rochester, NY she had the opportunity to perform at some of Rochester's top events and venues such as the Lilac Festival, the Rib Festival, Water Street Music Hall, and Lovin' Cup, and has been a guest on a variety of radio shows (98.9 with Kimberly and Beck, 98.9 with Frank Deblase, 95.1 with Brother Wease).

To Kristen, Rochester is her #1 favorite music city. It is full of amazing musicians and has the most dedicated and memorable fans!
