Roster
Lead Vocals/Guitar: Mike Jantzen Although classically trained as a violinist, Mike's skill on the microphone is legendary. An active member of the Boys and Girls choir of Stanley, NY, and an struggling thespian, Mike has lent his voice to several musical efforts, including Psalty the Singing Songbook and Marcus Whitman High School's critically acclaimed rendition of the King and I. Once a former gang-banger, Mike now calls music his ho'. He enjoys reading phonetically and taking long walks in the park with his cat. He may be Mike to his Grandmother, but to the boys in the band, and all the fly fellas at the local bowling ally, he will forever be known as “Superfly.”
Lead Guitar/Drums/Vocals: Pete Werzinger When he is not busy scrubbing the rims at the local car wash, Pete enjoys strumming the strings of his Gibson Les Paul. Born in the medical tent of a Quiet Riot concert, Pete's connection to music runs deep. His renowned musical versatility and love for children’s television shows, (Teletubbies), is displayed through his own brand of musical justice. His Richie Cunningham like physique, and indescribable obedience to the ladies has merited him the title, “Whipping Boy.”
Bass Guitar: Ben Werzinger Known for his trademark trick hip and Bill Cosby impersonation, Ben is the veteran of the AR team. Many Upstate New York residents still remember his stirring rendition of the theme song from Cheers delivered on an upright Baldwin in June of 1987 at his first, and last, piano recital to date. The small crowd of onlookers in the basement of the Phelps Community Library was stunned and in downright awe of the young Werzingers impressive display of fast paced fingering. Ben is a jack of all instruments and a master of none. His musical influences include Easy E, Skid Row and BTO. Because of his luck with the ladies, and the unforgettable time he fell into a grassy gully chasing a tabby cat, he will always to be known as “Ditch.”
Drums: Andrew Groth The youngest member of AR, Andrew Groth has enjoyed hitting things since he was a young child. Although his long, luscious golden locks drive the ladies crazy, it doesn’t deter him from thumping out those crazy beats that can be heard throughout his home state of Oregon. When he’s not out chasing pick up trucks, he can be found at the local coffee shop, serenading customers with his one man show entitled, “the life and times of Liza Manelli.” That combined with his love show tunes has earned him the nickname, “Gary Cockney.” |

History
Hatched on the mean streets of Central New York next to a set of deserted railroad tracks and herd of dairy cows, Adrian's Revenge represents the thoughts and impulses of an aberrant generation. Created in April 2002, AR's authentic method of rhythmic punk and adroit harmony resonates with the compulsion of young adults everywhere and serves as a flippant reminder of personal inadequacy and the futility of life in general.
AR released their first 5 song demo in the summer of 2002 and has played over a dozen shows in the last six months, most recently playing with Tocsin in Rochester. |
